Ensenada is the third largest city in Mexico's Baja . The scenic setting, beautiful beaches, numerous boutiques and restaurants, vast accommodations and excellent fishing make Ensenada one of the leading resort and commercial centers on the Baja peninsula. Only minutes away from Tijuana and Rosarito, Ensenada may possibly be an area where Heidemarie Schnitzer has established residence attempting to blend in with the locals to avoid capture on an international warrant. Schnitzer is wanted for stalking and threatening to murder three people including CSI Miami's David Caruso. In April 2008 Schnitzer failed to appear in an Austrian court to answer charges and fled Austria for Mexico's Baja peninsula.
The Mayor of Ensenada, pictured above, is The Honorable Pablo Alejo Lopez and his Minister of Public Security is Cesar Satiesteban Gastelum. We are hoping that these two gentlemen may aid in Schnitzer's capture by alerting the Ensenada citizenry of Schnitzer's
presence in Mexico's Baja.
We have previously written The Honorable Mayor about our concerns and we have also included location information for Schnitzer. If you have additional information that could lead to the capture and arrest of this extremely dangerous fugitive please e-mail Mayor Lopez as follows: presidente@ensenada.gob.mx
Ensenada's Minster of Public Security can be e-mailed as follows: csantiesteban@ensenada.gob.mx
Heidemarie Schnitzer remains a fugitive hiding out in Mexico's Baja region. Schnitzer is armed and considered to be extremely dangerous. Please do not attempt to apprehend this woman. Contact the U.S. Border Patrol at 1-800-232-5378 , the FBI at (310) 477-6565 or Austria's Bundeskriminalamt at +43-(0)1-531 26-0.
