In April, 2008 Schnitzer failed to appear in Court and fled to Mexico for the second time. The Tijuana police captured Schnitzer on Feb. 19, 2009.
Innsbruck Trial
Defendant Heidemarie Schnitzer appears in Court where she was convicted on April 14, 2009 for stalking and threatening to murder CSI Miami's David Caruso. She was sentenced to seven months in prison followed by confinement in a mental institution for an undisclosed period of time. Local privacy laws required Austrian media to distort her face.

2007 Flee To Avoid Prosecution
In July 2007, Schnitzer fled to Mexico after failing to appear before an Austrian Court to answer stalking charges. Cooperating with Mexican authorities, the FBI froze her credit cards forcing Schnitzer's return to Austria in Sept. 2007.
