Stalker's 1994 Conviction For Threatening Ex-Boyfriend

The Stalker Chronicles regrets that we erroneously reported that David Caruso's stalker was a first-time offender. We have now received credible information confirming that Heidemarie Schnitzer was convicted in 1994 for threatening an ex-boyfriend. Not only has Schnitzer had a previous conviction, she told her attorney she was capable of a "killing spree". In fact, Judge Guenther Boehler took her prior conviction into consideration when he pronounced sentencing following Tuesday's trial. Schnitzer's attorney objected citing evidence the fifteen year-old conviction was time barred.

Most media outlets are only reporting that Schnitzer will serve a seven month sentence in prison. This is highly inaccurate. What news services have failed to report is the fact that once Schnitzer completes that portion of her sentence, she will be incarcerated in a mental institution where she will undergo psychiatric observation for an undisclosed period of time. Schnitzer may not be released until as early as January 2011.

We applaud Judge Boehler for taking a tough stance with Heidemarie Schnitzer. This recent disclosure suggests an established pattern for making threats whenever Schnitzer suffers rejection. Psychiatric care is desperately needed for Caruso's stalker and the longer she remains under the care of a medical professional, the safer society will be.

David Caruso Media Frenzy Moves Into Overdrive With Upcoming Stalker Trial

The David Caruso media frenzy continues this upcoming week as a court room in the small Austrian city of Innsbruck stands poised to be the next major headline producer. On Tuesday David Caruso's mentally unbalanced stalker, Heidemarie Schnitzer, will finally have her day in court. Schnitzer will be tried on multiple charges including stalking, threatening to murder David Caruso, Greta Caruso and Liza Marquez and fleeing Austria to avoid prosecution. The trial is expected to last a couple of hours with the verdict and sentence to be announced shortly after closing arguments.

For a copy of the death threat letter Schnitzer mailed to Caruso, please see below. Stay tuned to The Stalker Chronicles for frequent updates as they become available.

David Caruso - Interview With Dr. Karin Treichl

Pre-trial information for next week's highly anticipated David Caruso stalker trial has been sporadic at best with media accounts varying widely. Forty-eight hours after Schnitzer was extradited to Austria, she was formally arraigned and charged with stalking and sending death threats. At that time, an Innsbruck Court determined that Schnitzer would remain incarcerated until time of trial as she posed a flight risk after twice failing to appear and ultimately fleeing the jurisdiction for Mexico.

Most media outlets also reported that Schnitzer would undergo another extensive psychiatric evaluation prior to her trial. Not true according to Dr. Karin Treichl. In a recent telephone interview with Austrian crime blogger Marcus J. Oswald, Dr. Treichl explained that the Court will rely on her initial evaluation.

In 2007 Dr. Karin Treichl, court-appointed psychiatrist for David Caruso's stalker, conducted an extensive evaluation of Heidemarie Schnitzer meeting with her personally on several occasions. Dr. Treichl concluded that Schnitzer was suffering from a "profound personality disorder" and further noted that Schnitzer had the potential for turning deadly at a moment's notice.

On April 14, 2009 Schnitzer will have her long awaited day in Court. Following testimony, Judge Guenther Boehler will sentence Schnitzer according to court spokesman Dr. Wilfried Siegle. The charges of stalking and threatening to murder carry a maximum penalty of three years. Sentencing will be made public and we fully expect a media frenzy surrounding the rendering of the Court's verdict.

David Caruso - Associated Press Confirms Stalker Detained in Tijuana

The Stalker Chronicles just spoke with the Associated Press' Mexico Bureau. An editor has confirmed that Heidemarie Schnitzer has been detained in Tijuana and the AP story has just gone out on the wires. According to our source, the story will become available on the Internet shortly. We will keep you updated.

David Caruso - THEY GOT HER!

Here's the Associated Press article and OEM En Linea's article (in Spanish) in their entirety confirming that Schnitzer has been captured and in all likelihood will be deported to Austria. A huge thanks goes to all who helped make Schnitzer's arrest possible.

David Caruso's Alleged Stalker Detained in Mexico

TIJUANA, Mexico (AP) — Mexican officials have detained an Austrian woman accused of stalking "CSI: Miami" star David Caruso.

Austrian prosecutors say the woman sent the American actor more than 100 letters, pursued him for an autograph and then sent death threats when he refused to give her one.

She was charged with stalking and threatening to kill Caruso, but failed to show up for court in 2007 and was believed to be on the run.

Tijuana police said Friday they detained the woman with the help of a blog titled The Stalker Chronicles, dedicated to the woman's arrest. She was turned over to immigration officials late Thursday and will likely be deported.

Caruso plays Miami police Lt. Horatio Caine on the crime drama series on U.S. network CBS.

And from OEM En Linea:

David Caruso recibía amenazas de muerte
AP

David Caruso - Associated Press Article on International Warrant

Several people have e-mailed stating the link to the Associated Press article dated October 28, 2008 no longer works and has been archived by the AP. For those unfamiliar, this was the article that reported on Austrian Judge Boehler's issuance of an International Warrant for the arrest of Heidemarie Schnitzer. A worldwide manhunt ensued for Schnitzer following Judge Boehler's order. Many thanks to my wonderful contact at the Associated Press for recovering this article which will now be linked to this blog. Here's the article in its entirety:
Alleged Caruso Stalker Sought on International Warrant

VIENNA, Austria (AP) _ An Austrian woman accused of stalking "CSI: Miami" star David Caruso is being sought on an international arrest warrant, and officials said Tuesday she could be hiding in Mexico.
The woman allegedly sent more than 100 letters to the American actor, pursued him for an autograph and then sent death threats when he refused to give her one, according to prosecutors in the Austrian province of Tyrol.
The woman _ identified only as being in her early 40s _ was charged with stalking and threatening to kill Caruso, but failed to show for her trial in July 2007 and again in April, spokesman Thomas Lechner said.
Judge Guenther Boehler has issued an international warrant for her arrest, Lechner said.
The woman is believed to be abroad, possibly in Mexico, the spokesman said without elaborating.
Caruso plays Miami police Lt. Horatio Caine on the crime drama series on U.S. network CBS.
Austrian authorities said a 2007 letter allegedly written by the suspect and bearing a Miami postmark was discovered in Caruso's fan mail. It read, in part: "I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp and kill you."
It is unclear if the Latina reference alluded to actress Alana De La Garza, who played Caruso's wife on the TV show until her character was killed.
A court-appointed psychiatrist testified that the suspect has a "profound personality disorder." If convicted, she faces up to three years in prison.

David Caruso - Climate of Fear Prevails In Mexico's Baja

The Stalker Chronicles would like to applaud Mexico's all out manhunt now underway for David Caruso's fugitive Austrian stalker. For years, Mexican law enforcement has been faced with mounting problems posed by the ever present drug cartel. The climate of fear in this area has increased with residents and tourists alike becoming noticeably uneasy.

Baja citizens now find themselves dealing with an even more insidious criminal; one who walks amongst them. Heidemarie Schnitzer, the mentally unbalanced celebrity stalker who has threatened three people with death including a woman of Latin American descent, lives and works on the Baja peninsula. Schnitzer, who has managed to blend in with the locals so as not to cast any suspicion on her true identity, is armed and extremely dangerous. Residents in the area are privately expressing concerns that it's only a matter of time before Schnitzer's "severe personality disorder" causes her to snap and commit a serious crime.

It has long been feared that Schnitzer would breach the U.S./Mexico border to hunt down David Caruso and his family. With the recent issuance of an international warrant, Schnitzer's mobility has been severely restricted leaving Baja residents in fear for their lives. Schnitzer's known hatred of "Latinas" as she refers to them, should make her capture a very high priority for the Mexican feds.

David Caruso - Stalker Threatens Life of Latina Liza Marquez

With Heidemarie Schnitzer hiding out in a country whose citizenry is predominantly Latin American, The Stalker Chronicles has decided to focus on the fact that one of the three individuals that Schnitzer threatened to murder is a woman of Latin descent, Liza Marquez, the mother of two of David Caruso's children. Schnitzer's now famous death letter pictured below refers to Ms. Marquez as a "butt ugly Latina whore" and threatens her with death.

Why? In Schnitzer's mentally unbalanced state she blamed Ms. Marquez for usurping Caruso's affections she felt rightfully belonged to her. For nearly two years, Schnitzer has slandered, libeled and out and out disparaged Liza Marquez for no other reason than Marquez was of Latin descent. Schnitzer even went so far as to post pornographic comments on the Internet about Liza Marquez's toddler son. Comments so despicable they will not be repeated on this blog.

Schnitzer continues to remain at large in Mexico's Baja region. Does Mexico really want to continue harboring a fugitive who has expressed such hatred for Latin Americans? Given Schnitzer's prejudice for this race of people, it becomes imperative for the Mexican government to hunt down and capture her as quickly as possible. Lives are in danger and a tragedy is at hand if Schnitzer is not found soon. After all, Austrian psychiatrist Dr. Karin Treichl has diagnosed Schnitzer with "severe personality disorder" capable of snapping at any moment.

It's time to act Governor Millan and Werner Druml. The citizens of Mexico are in danger as long as Schnitzer is on the loose. With justice awaiting Schnitzer in Austria, the proverbial ball is now in Mexico's court. Surely Mexico does not want blood on their hands when, as predicted, Schnitzer turns dangerous and commits a heinous crime.

David Caruso - Newsweek Picks Up Stalker Story

When the mainstream press starts picking up the sad tale surrounding David Caruso's fugitive Austrian stalker Heidemarie Schnitzer, you can bet your bottom dollar it's by design. Last November, the only press this story got was from The National Enquirer. It's a testament to the staying power of this story when a year later, venerable publications like the Associated Press, the International Herald Tribune and now Newsweek publish it. Schnitzer's threats to murder three people combined with the fact that she has fled Austria to hide out in Mexico's Baja region are being taken seriously. It's also affirmation for the arduous behind the scenes work that has been put into an effort to bring Schnitzer to certain justice awaiting her in an Austrian court room.

The wider circulation guarantees that one, more people are aware of the situation and two, law enforcement is working to bring a resolution. Tips to The Stalker Chronicles have increased twofold since Austrian Judge Guenther Boehler issued an international warrant for Schnitzer's arrest. If interest in this site from Mexican locales is any indicator, the story now possesses an urgency not before seen. We thank our readers for their continued interest and support especially during the seemingly endless dry spells when there has not been any news to report.

David Caruso - Mayor Ramos: Have You Seen Heidemarie Schnitzer?

For the next several days The Stalker Chronicles is going to feature the Mayors of Baja, California. When these local officials work closely with Mexico's federal government, they could provide valuable assistance in bringing the Austrian fugitive Heidemarie Schnitzer to justice.

Today we introduce The Honorable Jorge Ramos who has served Tijuana as its Mayor for almost a year. This video was shot days before Ramos took office. In it, Ramos vows to take proactive measures to curtail crime in the area. He promotes working closely with Governor Osuna Millan on matters affecting the security of the Baja area and we applaud him in those efforts.

We hope that Mayor Ramos can aid in capturing Heidemarie Schnitzer. Schnitzer is wanted in connection with charges she stalked and threatened to murder three people, including the star of CSI: Miami's David Caruso. After failing to appear in an Austrian court to answer these charges, Schnitzer fled to Mexico's Baja region in the Spring 2008 where she remains in hiding. On October 28, 2008 Austrian Judge Guenther Boehler issued an international warrant for Schnitzer's arrest. The onerous is now upon the Mexican government to capture this dangerous fugitive and deport her to Austria.

For anyone caring to communicate with The Honorable Jorge Ramos, you can e-mail his assistant as follows: osilva@tijuana.gob.mx

David Caruso - Heidemarie Schnitzer's 15 Minutes of Fame

Heidemarie Schnitzer's fifteen minutes of fame is now within her grasp. All David Caruso's fugitive Austrian stalker has to do is surrender. Her reward will be the attention she has so desperately sought for years. Schnitzer's perp walk and the accompanying media stampede all but guarantee that her image will be splashed all over every major newspaper and online media outlet.

It remains to be seen though how this will all play out in the end. As each day passes without Schnitzer surrendering, the more difficult it's going to be to negotiate any type of reduced charges or sentencing with prosecutors. Schnitzer doesn't seem to be too terribly concerned though. Diagnosed with severe personality disorder, Schnitzer has abandoned two children and remains on the lam in Mexico. She doesn't seem to realize that she will ultimately suffer some serious consequences including jail time for stalking, threatening to murder David Caruso and skipping out on two court hearings. A warrant for Schnitzer's immediate arrest remains in full force and effect.

One thing is an absolutely certain: Heidemarie Schnitzer is going to milk this for all it's worth. Her place in the entertainment annals as a celebrity stalker is all but assured. What a dubious legacy.

David Caruso - Hubris: O.J. and Schnitzers' Achilles Heel

Many upon learning that O.J. Simpson had been found guilty by a Nevada jury saw it as long overdue poetic justice. For thirteen years, Simpson has walked as a free man flaunting the fact he beat a system that acquitted him for the 1994 double murder many believe he committed. Even in the midst of his most recent legal troubles, Simpson has comported with his usual "I am not guilty" air. This time however the justice system caught up with him.

Like O.J., David Caruso's fugitive Austrian stalker, Heidi Schnitzer, will ultimately have her comeuppance as well. Schnitzer has always claimed she has not done anything wrong and behaved as if she too is above the law. Skipping out on two court dates and twice fleeing Austria to avoid execution of a European Arrest Warrant have only compounded matters for Schnitzer. Thinking she's safe from the long-arm of EU justice, Schnitzer's guilt is evident if only in the many ostentatious denials she's posted on the Internet.

Schnitzer will eventually slip up either committing the crimes she has threatened or doing something incredibly stupid that will result in her arrest. Grant, thirteen years is a long time to wait for justice, but the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman probably are not complaining. It's highly unlikely David Caruso will voice any resentment once Schnitzer is captured.

David Caruso - Stalker Posts Poll with Option to Kill Caruso

We routinely avoid all of Heidi Schnitzer's hate sites. The few times we have ventured into one of these bastions of slander and libel, we did not linger. In the last few days, both Dojo and OzWitch have posted concerns about Schnitzer's latest David Caruso poll which she is running on one of her many sites. Schnitzer's recent poll asked her readers to vote as follows: Would you rather F&%K, Marry or Kill David Caruso? I will not post the link to Schnitzer's blatant criminal activity. For those interested, a copy of Schnitzer's death threat letter which she sent to David Caruso at CBS Studios is available immediately below this post.

What I will post is the following if anyone wants to contact
Austria's Bundeskriminalamt. Here is complete information if anyone wants to call, e-mail, fax, etc. evidence of Schnitzer's criminal activity on the Internet:

David Caruso - TVBarn's Prediction for CSI: Miami Premiere

Aaron Barnhart of The Kansas City Star provides a nice summary of the upcoming season premieres for the more popular shows. For CSI: Miami he wrote:

" ‘CSI: Miami’
Who shot Horatio Crane [sic]? Probably not a crazed woman from Austria — though one is stalking David Caruso in real life — but we won’t find out until the season premiere, which will be missing one prominent cast member, Khandi Alexander, who has left the building. Premieres Sept. 22 on CBS."

And God love Aaron, he opened up comments on the topic too. Watch for Schnitzer's usual spam to begin under multiple pseudonyms.

David Caruso - Is Schnitzer Capable of A Deadly Rampage?

Yesterday in Washington State a 28 year-old man went on a shooting spree. Hours later when he surrendered following a high speed chase , six people had lost their lives. Today's morning shows carried interviews with the distraught Mother of the perpetrator. At times inconsolable, the woman stated that her son had a history of mental illness but had refused treatment. He also had numerous misdemeanors and had just been released from jail on August 6 following a drug conviction.

Was the shooter suffering from a severe personality disorder? More than likely according to a recent guest psychiatrist on The Nancy Grace Show. The expert panelist stated that most people in prison suffer from personality disorders. And of course anyone familiar with David Caruso's fugitive Austrian stalker understands that Heidi Schnitzer has already been diagnosed with a severe personality disorder with the potential for becoming dangerous. Schnitzer has also abandoned two children to pursue stalking David Caruso.

The Governor of Washington has called for an independent investigation into the criminal history and supervision of the shooting suspect. Results of that investigation will not be available for several days perhaps a week. In the meantime, people will be left to wonder if the suspect's mental problems were directly responsible for this tragedy.

One recent e-mail to The Stalker Chronicles suggested that Heidi Schnitzer is a ticking time bomb sitting south of the U.S. border in Tijuana. With the Border Patrol and CBS Studios on heightened alert, perhaps another tragedy similar to yesterday's will be averted altogether. Let's hope that's the case before we have to face headlines about a recently escaped Austrian woman killing three people.

David Caruso - Schnitzer's Arrest Warrant Won't Disappear

Heidi Schnitzer's attacks on the credibility of The Stalker Chronicles continues. Attacks designed to divert attention away from the fact that she remains a fugitive from justice after threatening to murder David Caruso and two other people. Apparently Schnitzer figures that by simply clicking her Internet heels this story will magically disappear. Don't bank on it!

Last April after Schnitzer fled Austria, a European Arrest Warrant valid in the European Union was executed by an Austrian court. The warrant remains in full force and effect even though Schnitzer has chosen to hide out in Tijuana, Mexico. Under the false impression that she is safe and secure in another country outside the European Union's long arm of justice will ultimately be Schnitzer's undoing.

Two years ago things were quite different though. Schnitzer had the Internet landscape all to herself to slander and defame David Caruso. That has changed thanks in large part to the heroic efforts to get the truth out by a few dedicated bloggers.

Much like last month when the publishing of the long awaited photos of Heidemarie Schnitzer resulted in her pathetic and desperate Internet denials, Schnitzer is at it again. Over the last several days Schnitzer has spiraled out of control after The Stalker Chronicles published excerpts from a Spanish paper of Schnitzer's continued support of Josef Fritzl. Her screaming denials have not been heard. Schnitzer's threats of impending injunctions to have her photo removed never materialized.

Schnitzer is riding on borrowed time and probably borrowed money. Maybe she and O.J. could pool their resources. While O.J. looks for the "real killers", Schnitzer could be looking for the "real stalker". There's a marriage made in hell.

Remain vigilant and be on the look out for this very dangerous woman. Report any suspicious activity to the U.S. Border Patrol at 1-800-232-5378. Or contact the local police in Tijuana, the U.S. FBI or Austria's Bundeskriminalamt at +43-(0)1-531 26-0.

David Caruso - Hitler's Homeland Can't Locate Heidi Schnitzer

Austria's Bundeskrinimilamt has failed David Caruso and the U.S. FBI. Looking over the facts of this case, maybe it was their plan all along simply to pay lip service in the name of maintaining good diplomatic relations with the United States. Austria's law enforcement officials appear to have washed their hands of the David Caruso stalking matter involving one of their own, Heidi Schnitzer. Today marks three months post trial since Schnitzer fled to avoid prosecution. Schnitzer has become yet another outlaw taking refuge in Tijuana, Mexico.

Sources close to this story now confirm that the FBI sought the assistance of the Austrian government after CBS Studios requested their help after receiving Schnitzer's now famous death threat letter. Austria went through the motions, filed charges, scheduled a hearing, then allowed Schnitzer to escape, asked the FBI to help track her down and ultimately set a trial date only to allow Schnitzer to escape again. The Austrians have refused to release a photo of the woman citing privacy laws enacted to protect the suspect. Their most blatant lapse though came in failing to force Schnitzer to surrender her passport following her capture by the FBI in September 2007. Looking back, this was all probably by design.

Recall too that this is the same government who for 24 years enabled the likes of Josef Fritzl to rape and hold his own daughter hostage in a cellar. The Austrians have held true to this "look the other way" mentality in the David Caruso matter as well. Turning a blind eye and wishing the the case would quietly go away, it appears that the Austrians got exactly what they wanted. Schnitzer is now out of their jurisdiction and some Austrian circles are probably breathing a sigh of relief.

Keeping this story alive has now become the job of Internet bloggers such as Dojo and myself. We are more than happy to accommodate the overworked Austrians so they can focus their attention on taking another 24 years to capture another madman or madwoman.

In the meantime, Schnitzer may be attempting to illegally enter the U.S. to carry out her death threat against David Caruso and his family. Schnitzer wants nothing more than to insure that Caruso follows in the footsteps of his CSI Miami character, Horatio Caine who was shot at the end of Season 6. Is that what it will take for the Austrians to wake up and take notice? Probably.

David Caruso - Stalker Thumbs Her Nose at Austrian Police

As reported here earlier, The Associated Press reports that Gabriele Huber, Caruso's indicted Austrian stalker, failed to appear for her trial on charges that she stalked and threatened to murder David Caruso. The story adds that Huber fled armed with her laptop.

And armed she is. Posting as "Vixen", "DiamondsandHearts", "Dixiebabe", "Carmen", "KillerQueen2", "StealthQueen", "Eva" and "DavidCaruso," Huber has spent most of the day hitting every blog, fan site and board under the pretense that she is simply another innocent bystander just as interested in the outcome of this story as anyone else. Her ruse is just that. The authorities can and will catch up with her. Gabriele has left a very sloppy cyber-trail in her wake that will aid in her capture.

Whenever Gabriele gets backed into a corner and she's in a big jam now, she always plays the innocent act to the hilt. "Who me?" she'll respond or better yet, "not me." While in hiding, Gabriele is loving the publicity and has been on the Internet all day waiting for her RSS feeds to update with the most current information on herself.

This blog alone has had nearly one hundred hits from Gabriele in the last twelve hours. Why? What is she searching for? Is she on the lam in Mexico again, sleeping on a lice-infested mattress begging for money on the Internet much like she did last summer when she pulled a similar stunt? Or is she hiding out in Austria? On Monday, Gabriele's Internet activity was limited to the early morning hours. Was she traveling perhaps?
Was it all worth it Gabriele? Better sleep with one eye open tonight. You are a marked woman now!

Stay tuned.

David Caruso - Austrian Police Search for Gabriele Huber

Monday of this week was remarkably quiet for Gabriele Huber. The usual inundation of multiple Internet sites with slander and libel directed towards David Caruso was practically non-existent and visibly gone. In fact, so was Gabriele. As it turns out, Huber was no where to be found on the Internet or in Innsbruck apparently where her trial for stalking David Caruso was scheduled to begin.

Today, The Associated Press is reporting that Huber has "vanished without a trace and took her laptop with her." How surprising! Huber is wanted after sending 100's of letters to David Caruso demanding an autograph. When none was forthcoming, Huber mailed a threatening letter to Caruso stating "I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp and kill you."

The Court-appointed psychiatrist has testified that Gabriele Huber has been diagnosed with a "profound personality disorder." No kidding! Any of us who follow this crazed woman could have supported that diagnoses with hard core evidence.

The good news is once authorities locate her, she will be placed under arrest and jailed until her trial begins. Now that Huber is a known flight risk, it is highly doubtful that any sought bail will be granted.
This evening , it will be interesting to see how or if the entertainment shows run with this. Other sites have consistently reported that Huber had already been tried last summer and was out on parole. This was never reported in the media and simply is not the case.

Let's hope for David Caruso and his family that Gabriele Huber is located and swiftly brought to justice. Stay tuned.
