The Stalker Chronicles was launched with the singular mission to track the whereabouts of Heidemarie Schnitzer and see her brought to justice. After threatening to murder CSI Miami's David Caruso and two others, Schnitzer twice failed to appear in court and fled to Mexico. In February 2009, Schnitzer was captured in Tijuana. Two months later an Austrian Court convicted her for sending death threats to David Caruso. Schnitzer's release from a mental facility may not occur until 2011.

David Caruso Stalker Claims She'll Walk Free
More from The Austrian Times about Heidemarie Schnitzer's interview with Austria's News magazine. According to Stalker Chronicles' sources, David Caruso's stalker remains in Mexico City pending deportation pursuant to the international warrant for her arrest:
CSI Star Death Stalker: I"ll Walk Free
The deranged fan who threatened to kill CSI star David Caruso has boasted how she'll walk free after subjecting the actor to months of torment.
Stalker Heidemarie Schnitzer, 53, blitzed Caruso with more than 100 sick letters threatening to murder both him and his girlfriend.
One told the star: "I'm going to kill you and your butt-ugly Latina whore...that fat-assed bimbo...an offence to your whole fan base. It'll take some time - but I'll find you."
But the cracked fan has told Austrian magazine News: "I expect a light sentence because in the end nothing happened."
Schnitzer spent six months on the run in Mexico after being quizzed about the hate mail.
She was finally tracked down by other CSI fans who located her laptop being used in Tijuana and tipped off police.
But the oddball fan told how she couldn't keep away from the star even while she was hiding.
"I carried on watching CSI whenever it was on Mexican TV," she confesses.
Schnitzer is currently being held by local police pending an extradition plea by Austria authorities and facing up to three years in jail under anti-stalking.
